Who We Are

The Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association (APTA) is the trusted and effective voice of the road transport industry that supports its members. Founded in 1966, the APTA is an Atlantic wide non-profit industry association formed to advocate on advancing and improving the commercial trucking industry in Atlantic Canada.

APTA's membership is comprised of motor carriers, industry suppliers and other stakeholders. The APTA represents over 320 members across Atlantic Canada, some of which are among Canada's largest trucking companies. 



Executive Director 

Jean-Marc is responsible for the overall management and direction of the Association. He works closely with the government on legislative and regulatory issues to defend the interests of his members. Jean-Marc has 18 years of experience in the transportation industry and has extensive experience in the areas of policy development, government and public relations, advocacy and strategic communications.

Event Planner & Member Services

Danielle is involved in the planning of all APTA events and projects. She works closely with members, committees and the Executive Director to meet the needs of our members on a daily basis. She is the Association's go-to person and has been with us for over 10 years. She is fluently bilingual and has a diploma in Transportation Logistics.

Office Administrator


Micheline is responsible for the day-to-day front office operations of the Association, product sales, accounting, training and seminars. She also manages special projects such as the LCV program, the SmartDriver program and the GoodLife fitness memberships. Micheline is fluently bilingual and has her degree in Business with a Major in Accounting. She has over 15 years experience in accounting and office administration. She has been with the APTA for over 7 years.


Communication & Public Relations Manager


Amélie is responsible for all communication and public relations of the Association such as activity reports, newsletters, press releases, website and social media. She is fluently bilingual and has her degree in Business with a Major in Marketing. Amélie has over 13 years experience in the marketing and communications field and has been with the APTA since April 2016.
