TECHNICIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD

The Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association believes it is important to honor the men and women who keep our trucks rolling, our technicians.

With technology continuously evolving and changing, technicians become crucial to keep our trucks and trailers moving.

Please read the “Technician of the Year” Selection Criteria and Nomination Form carefully to ensure all questions are answered and all required documentation is included with the submission.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Nomination must be submitted by a carrier or associated trades member.
Technician must be a licensed journeyman or apprentice.
Technician must work in the Atlantic Provinces and the employer must be a member of the APTA.
Nomination must be signed by a carrier or associated trades member and supported by his or her employer as well.
Nominations should consider the candidate’s commitment to training, staying on top of technology, safety as well as any community service or volunteer work.
All candidates will be assessed under the following criteria:
Years of Service in the Industry
Safety
Recommendation letters (minimum of 2)
Other Commendations/Recommendations

The successful candidate will be named the APTA's “Technician of the Year”.

NOMINATION FORM

All nominations must be submitted by October 15, 2025 at 5:00pm.
Any submissions entered after will be included in the next year’s submissions.

The nominee and nominating company must be members of the APTA.

Please ensure the name of the nominee and the company are spelled correctly as this is the information that will be used on the award and in the video.
